Socapalm Distributes CFA1.7 Billion in Dividends to BVMAC Shareholders for 2024

(Business in Cameroon) – Socapalm, the Cameroonian Palm Oil Company, will pay CFA1.7 billion in dividends to its stockholders via the Douala-based Central African Stock Exchange (BVMAC). The payment date is scheduled for July 28, 2025.

Louis Banga Ntolo, General Manager of BVMAC, confirmed in a statement on July 16 that shareholders holding Socapalm shares will receive a net dividend of CFA2,225 per share. Shares will trade ex-dividend starting July 23.

Socapalm operates as a subsidiary of Luxembourg-based Socfin. The company reported a net income of CFA10.4 billion for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024—down 12.7% compared to the previous year.

Despite the income drop, Socapalm decided to distribute 11.4 billion CFA francs in dividends, financed in part by its reserves. The CFA1.7 billion paid to stock market shareholders accounts for about 15% of the total dividend payout.
