(GLOBELEQ) – Globeleq (KPDC and DPDC) Reaffirms Its Commitment to Cameroon and Denies the definitive shutdown of Its Power Plants
In response to certain information disseminated in the press, Globeleq Cameroon wishes to provide the following clarifications:
- Contrary to the allegations currently circulating, Globeleq’s entities in Cameroon have no intention of permanently shutting down their thermal power plants in the country.
- We remain fully committed to supporting the country’s energy sector and working alongside all stakeholders to ensure a stable and reliable electricity supply.
- However, we emphasize that the viability of our operations depends on the fulfillment of financial commitments by the various stakeholders. Discussions are ongoing with the relevant authorities to reach a sustainable solution that guarantees the continuity of our services.
Globeleq reaffirms its dedication to contributing to Cameroon’s energy development and collaborating with all sector actors to address current challenges.
