Mbé Gold: Oriole Resources Projects Up to 1.34 Million Ounces in Cameroon

(Business in Cameroon) – British junior mining company Oriole Resources estimates a gold production potential of up to 1.34 million ounces at its Mbé gold project in Cameroon’s Adamawa region, following exploration work conducted in 2024.

According to a report by independent consultant Forge International, drillings carried out in two zones of the Mbé permit suggest a potential range between 820,000 ounces and 1.34 million ounces of gold. The company expects to release a definitive estimate in the fourth quarter of 2025, after the completion of its ongoing drilling program scheduled for Q3 2025.

The renewed exploration phase, relaunched in 2024, follows an agreement between Oriole Resources and BCM International, which committed to invest over CFA2 billion in the project. In exchange, BCM International will secure 50% ownership of the Mbé permit, in which Oriole currently holds a 90% stake.

In addition to Mbé, Oriole Resources also holds interests in the Bibemi and Wapouzé gold permits in northern Cameroon, assets previously owned by Canadian company Reservoir Minerals.
