As part of the Goethe-Découverte platform, the Goethe-Institut Kamerun presents the listening party of « Fuddam » by Mr. Taks, on Friday 11th July 2025, at 07 pm at Goethe-Institut Kamerun (Bastos, beside Ecole publique-Yaoundé).
Mr. Taks, whose real name is Bruno Takoua, was born in 1999 in Mora in the far north of Cameroon. A musician, pianist, beatmaker and sound engineer, he now lives in Maroua. With a degree in computer science, he specialises in composing, arranging, remixing, making beats and mastering. His creativity is fuelled by passion and technique, and he develops music without voices, where emotion is transmitted through sound.
Mr. Taks is active on the music scene through collaborations with artists such as David Okit, Krista Marguerite, Jayce, Gaillard Juste and Iza. As an attentive and passionate young professional who composes in a variety of musical styles, he is interested in the fusion of different trends and styles offered by the diversity of Cameroonian music, which is his primary source of inspiration.
The Goethe-Découverte 2025 laureate in the « music sound » category aims to open a studio dedicated to the production of audio and video clips. The goal of the project is to give local artists greater visibility, both nationally and internationally, by making access to recording studios easier and more affordable.

Initiated in 2015 by the Goethe-Institut Kamerun, Goethe-Découverte is a platform for promoting young Cameroonian artistic talent in several disciplines (comics, music, visual arts, theatre, dance, performance). The winners are selected by a jury of professionals following a competition and receive support in preparing and producing their creative project. This year, the Goethe-Découverte platform is celebrating its 10th anniversary!
