Cameroon customs target CFA104.4bn in revenue for October 2025

(Business in Cameroon) – Cameroon’s Directorate General of Customs (DGD) under the Ministry of Finance plans to collect CFA104.4 billion in revenue in October 2025, according to the agency’s latest newsletter. More than 90% of this amount is expected to come from the Littoral I and South II customs districts.

Littoral I, which covers the Port of Douala, remains the main revenue source with an estimated CFA60.6 billion, while South II, home to the deepwater Port of Kribi, is expected to generate CFA33.6 billion. Both hubs confirm their strategic role in mobilizing resources from external trade.

Littoral II—which handles coordination, investigation, recovery, and statistics services—is projected to collect CFA4.8 billion. The Center region should contribute CFA762.2 million, and the North is expected to generate CFA681.3 million.

Despite persistent security challenges, the Anglophone regions of the South-West and North-West are forecast to collect CFA3.8 billion and CFA28.3 million, respectively. In the Far North, where Boko Haram remains active, projected revenue stands at CFA661.7 million.

For the 2025 fiscal year, the DGD aims to raise CFA1.114 trillion in total revenue, an increase of CFA88.1 billion from the CFA1.0559 trillion collected in 2024. This performance reflects the Finance Ministry’s determination to strengthen non-oil revenue mobilization and modernize customs operations in a shifting economic environment.
