Cameroon exported 3,115 tons of pasta in 2025, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INS), marking a 230% increase compared with the 944 tons shipped in 2024.
Export revenues rose even faster. Sales generated CFA1.475 billion in 2025, up from CFA326 million the previous year. This represents an increase of CFA1.149 billion, or 352.8% year-on-year.
INS data show steady growth over the past three years, with exports rising from 724.3 tons in 2023 to 944 tons in 2024, before the sharp jump in 2025. The trend points to stronger performance by local producers in external markets.
The statistics office does not provide specific reasons for the surge. However, the increase likely reflects stronger demand within the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC).
Neighboring countries in the bloc remain the main export markets for Cameroonian pasta producers, including Cadyst Invest (La Pasta, Panzani, and Grand Moulin du Cameroun) and Africa Food Distribution.
