Campass PLC, the company responsible for financing, designing, installing, operating and maintaining Cameroon’s customs information system, has reshaped its governance structure with the appointment of Mohamadou Abdoulkadri as chairman of the board, according to a legal notice. The announcement also confirms a renewal of the board following the annulment of a co-optation considered irregular.
At a board meeting held on December 16, 2025, directors canceled the co-optation of Chaewon Lee as a board member, initially approved on April 30, 2025, on the grounds that the appointment did not comply with applicable rules. The board also cited management shortcomings and legal violations attributed to former chairman Sang Ki Yi.
In accordance with Article 484 of the OHADA Uniform Act and Article 15 of Campass’s statutes, Sang Ki Yi was removed from his position as chairman of the board.
Mohamadou Abdoulkadri was subsequently appointed chairman for a two-year term. Nken Kome was confirmed as chief executive officer, while Souleyman Poullo was appointed deputy chief executive officer, also for two years.
Separately, the ordinary general meeting revoked Sang Ki Yi and Samuel Yoon “ad nutum,” meaning without the obligation to provide justification, and appointed new board members for renewable six-year terms. The new appointees include Custum Unipass International Agency (CUPIA), High Tech Telesoft Cameroon S.A., Mohamadou Dabo Junior and Mohamadou Aliou.
The general meeting also approved the 2024 financial statements, allocated the annual results and granted discharge to the former directors for their management.
Based in Douala and capitalized at CFA1 billion, Campass stated that the governance overhaul follows the identification of shortcomings in the management of its affairs. The company said the objective is to strengthen corporate governance, secure the management of the customs information system project and ensure more effective execution.
