Cameroon’s National Civil Engineering Laboratory (Labogenie) has approved a balanced budget of CFA24.8 billion for FY2026, covering revenue, expenditure, and a surplus. The information was disclosed in a statement issued by its board of directors on December 31, 2025, and made public on January 26, 2026.
Under the approved plan, Labogenie expects CFA12.4 billion in revenue and CFA11.2 billion in expenditure, resulting in a projected surplus of CFA1.1 billion.
Founded in 1980, Labogenie is a public commercial entity under the supervision of the Ministry of Public Works. Its mandate is to ensure the quality and safety of infrastructure projects, at the request of public authorities and private operators. Its activities include geotechnical and geophysical studies, infrastructure assessments, and laboratory testing.
The 2026 budget follows a recent upward trend. In 2023, the public entity adopted a budget of CFA12.6 billion, less than half the level now projected.
