Camwater and Campost Join Forces to Digitize Water-Bill Payments

(Business in Cameroon) – Camwater and Campost signed a partnership on Nov. 14 to digitize water-bill payments through Campost Money.

  1. The agreement aims to streamline customer payments for Camwater’s 650,000 subscribers by reducing physical queues.
  2.  Campost positions the project as part of its expansion in nationwide digital financial services.

Camwater and Campost signed a partnership on 14 November 2025 in Yaoundé to modernize water-bill payments. The agreement, signed by Camwater Managing Director Blaise Moussa and Campost Managing Director Pierre Kaldadak, enables the postal operator to process digital payments through its Campost Money (Camo) platform.

The two companies will specify the practical steps for subscribers in the coming days. The system will allow customers to settle bills quickly, securely and remotely. It also provides a modern alternative to traditional in-person payments, which still dominate and often generate long queues and repeated trips to physical counters.

Camwater seeks to improve the customer experience and streamline its revenue collection. “This partnership is the proof of our commitment to use digital tools to improve the experience of our subscribers and make our services more accessible and efficient,” Moussa said.

Campost views the partnership as part of the diversification of its activities and a strategic step to extend digital financial services nationwide. Kaldadak welcomed an initiative that aims to “bring digital financial services closer to the population, including in the most remote areas.”

Camwater, which had 650,000 subscribers in 2023, strengthens its service offering by giving customers access to a simplified digital payment option. The initiative aligns with Cameroon’s broader push to digitize public services, making revenue collection more efficient across the national territory.
