Cameroon’s Chamber of Commerce Urges Chocolatiers to Join Paris Chocolate Fair

(Business in Cameroon) – Cameroon’s Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Crafts (CCIMA) is urging the country’s chocolatiers to take part in the 30th edition of the Salon du Chocolat in Paris, scheduled for October 30 to November 3, 2025.

In an official statement, the CCIMA called on all cocoa and chocolate sector players to register early for this major international showcase. The chamber sees the event as an opportunity to highlight Cameroonian expertise, generate business leads, and forge new partnerships in a rapidly evolving industry.

The Salon du Chocolat is one of the world’s leading trade fairs for the cocoa, chocolate, and pastry industries, bringing together professionals ranging from artisans to global corporations. Its 30th edition will be a symbolic milestone for African producers and processors seeking to boost their visibility in the European market.

Cameroon’s participation forms part of efforts to promote “Made in Cameroon” chocolate made from local beans. In November 2024, the country was the guest of honor at the Vannes International Chocolate and Pastry Show in Brittany.

During that event, chocolatier Cyrille Wandji Djako, winner of the national Chocolate Battle competition to select Cameroon’s representative, showcased his artisanal creations, which were praised for their quality and authenticity.

By spotlighting local companies at the Paris fair, the CCIMA aims to build on this momentum and encourage the development of higher-value cocoa products, a key sector of the national economy and Cameroon’s second-largest source of agricultural export revenue after coffee.
