Despite heavy rain and chaotic traffic, the new school year officially began on Monday, September 8, 2025, in Cameroon. In Yaoundé’s 1st district, classes started at 7:30 a.m., with the sub-prefect, Harouna Nyandji Mgbatou, conducting an inspection visit.

– Over 6,000 Free Consultations in Meyomessala

A five-day humanitarian health campaign
provided over 6,000 people with free medical consultations at the regional annex hospital and the Chantal Biya Foundation in Meyomessala.
The operation was officially closed by the Minister of Public Health, Manaouda Malachie.

Specialized schools also had a successful start to the school year. At the Ela Foundation in Yaoundé, classes have resumed for students with special needs, ensuring an effective return to school for all.
