This is the story of Nkongho, once a revered figure in the village of Chang who became a separatist fighter, causing his tragic end and leaving his family devastated. His son Nkongho Julius, a teenager, deeply scared by his father’s execution and his mother’s disappearance, is trying to rebuild his life. Haunted by the past and thirst for revenge, he struggles with mental disorders and a quest for identity, becoming a darker version of his father. He struggles to break the cycle, driven by pain and a desire for redemption.
About the author
Ebai Derrick is a multifaceted Cameroonian artist: author, poet, songwriter, screenwriter, designer, and so on. He founded YLEA (Young Leaders’ Empowerment Action) and EyaLingo to empower youth and preserve African cultural heritage. He also wrote children’s books and local language dictionaries to foster culture, education, and leadership across Cameroon.
