(Business in Cameroon) – The government has issued a three-month deadline, starting May 28, 2025, for all public administrations to integrate with Tresor Pay, its electronic platform for collecting non-tax revenues and managing state payments. Failure to comply will result in a shutdown of non-connected platforms, according to a decree signed by Prime Minister Joseph Dion Nguté on May 28, 2025.
The decree establishes Tresor Pay as “the sole platform dedicated to the collection of revenues and the payment of State and other public entities’ expenditures by electronic means.” This move centralizes and standardizes all digital financial interactions within the government.
As defined by the Prime Minister’s decree, “electronic payment methods refer to mobile or electronic money, bank transfers, card payments, payments via electronic payment terminals, and any other electronic payment method designated as such by specific regulation.”
The Ministry of Finance indicates that Tresor Pay’s primary objective is to digitize and enhance the security of non-tax revenue collection and all payments made by the state and its various entities.
