On-site training: MINI-PROJEKTE UND BEWEGUNG FÜR DEN DAF-UNTERRICHT MIT JUGENDLICHEN

On-site training for Cameroonian secondary school German teachers

The face-to-face seminars with the motto “German as a Foreign Language – teenagers learn differently?!” met with a great response in 2023 and 2024. In 2025, the theme of “German as a Foreign Language for teenagers” and the key areas of movement and mini-projects will be explored in even greater depth.

The focus will again be on teenagers as a target group with their physical, cognitive and social development and the resulting “original” behavior:  Teenagers who, for example, prefer to sleep during the first lessons in the morning or who have concentration problems. However, the curiosity and enthusiasm of this age group can also be harnessed: for songs and games or for activity and production-oriented lessons in which they themselves are at work and act with their hands.

So, the crucial question remains: How do I, as a teacher, design lessons that are effective for learning, suitable for young people and motivating? This year’s concept for face-to-face seminars sees a solution in understanding the cognitive developmental stage of young people and using movement and mini-projects in German lessons.

In the seminars, you will discover how this is implemented in theory and practice.
