Bamenda, Cameroon (CNA) – A prominent community leader and businessman, Mr. Asanji Melvin Tening, was critically injured in a shooting incident in Bamenda III last week. Tening, who is also the General Youth President of Nkwen, was returning home with his uncle when gunmen ambushed their vehicle.
The attackers fired multiple shots, striking Tening three times in the left arm. He was rushed to Bamenda District Hospital and later transferred to the General Hospital for further treatment.
Known for his philanthropic endeavors and contributions to the community, Tening is the proprietor of Asanji Company Ltd and a lecturer at the University of Bamenda.
Sources say he is responding to treatment.
