Cameroon has opened applications for companies seeking State support to participate in the 10th edition of the Promote International Enterprise Exhibition, scheduled for June 12-21, 2026 in Yaounde.
In a statement signed on May 13, 2026, the Ministry of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development invited interested businesses to submit applications through forms available on the ministry’s website under the Economic Promotion section, as well as via a dedicated online link published by the ministry.
Held every two years at the Yaounde Conference Centre, Promote brings together enterprises, public administrations, financial institutions, investors and other economic actors. The exhibition focuses on networking, commercial exchanges and partnership development between local and international operators.
The support initiative extends a programme implemented during the 2024 edition, when the ministry provided technical and financial assistance to around 100 small and medium-sized enterprises. Beneficiary companies also received guidance aimed at improving their commercial positioning and participation during the event.
The 2026 edition comes as authorities seek to strengthen the role of domestic enterprises in economic transformation, industrial development and job creation. The exhibition is expected to offer companies in strategic sectors opportunities to secure business contracts and expand their commercial networks.
Preparations are already underway at the exhibition site. According to the Inter-progress International Foundation, organiser of the event, construction activities started several days ago, with tents being installed across the exhibition grounds.
“We started construction work on the site around 10 days ago. Tents are already being installed from the lower section up to the upper platform,” said Thierry Ndong, communications officer at the Inter-progress International Foundation.
He added that organisers had asked participating companies to begin preparing their exhibition spaces ahead of the opening date.
“We expect around 1,000 companies that have already registered for this edition, while close to 200 additional spaces are still available for businesses wishing to subscribe,” Ndong said.
Marking the 25th anniversary of Promote, the 2026 edition will be held under the theme: “Private enterprises and the business environment: what benchmarks in the face of national and international economic challenges?”
Organisers say the event will also feature an economic forum and around 10 specialised economic pavilions covering sectors including automobile, construction and public works, agri-tech, finance and insurance.
